Day 01 : Arrive in Delhi

08:15am: enjoy an orientation tour of Delhi accompanied by your English speaking tour escort. Discover and explore the one thousand year history!
The city consists of two parts - Old & New Delhi. Old Delhi was the capital of Muslim India between 17th and 19th century and has many mosques, monuments and forts. New Delhi, the imperial city was created by the British as the capital of India
leave for a sightseeing tour of Delhi.
Begin your exploration starting in Old Delhi - visit the Jama Masjid, the royal mosque was built by the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan in 1656.
Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through the narrow by lanes of Chandni Chowk, the spine of Old Delhi. Jahanara Begum, the daughter of Shah Jahan designed this commercial place in 1648.
Drive past Red fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Also visit Rajghat, the site of Mahatma Gandhi's cremation.
lunch at a chic specialty restaurant - The Olive Bar Kitchen.
visit New Delhi.
Continue to Qutub Minar - a UNESCO World heritage site. A soaring tower of victory, it is world’s largest brick minaret - 72.5 meter high with five distinct stories.
Next on the itinerary, visit Humayun’s Tomb - a UNESCO World heritage site. This tomb was built in 1570 and is the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent.
Drive past India Gate, the national monument of India. It is one of the largest war memorials in India which is situated in the heart of New Delhi. Drive through the majestic boulevards of New Delhi. The Rashtrapati Bhawan (Presidential Palace) is where the Viceroy once lived and now is the official residence of the President of India. It is an imposing structure with 340 rooms, constructed high up on Raisina Hill.
Culminate the sightseeing with a Religious & Philosophy tour visiting a Sikh Temple. An audience with a priest will be arranged. He will give a religious discourse on the religion.

Day 03 : Delhi - Agra – Samode

transfer to New Delhi railway station for your train to Agra-

**Indian railway station is a sight to watch. With a lot of rush & gush, one can really have an entirely unique experience. Enjoy the train as you travel on one of the fastest express trains of India.
Agra - Two great Mughal monarchs, Akbar and Shah Jahan, transformed the little village of Agra into a befitting second capital of the Mughal Empire - giving it the name Dar-ul-Khilafat {seat of the Emperor}. It is not surprising, that modern Agra still reflects its Mughal heritage most conspicuously.
08:10am: meet & greet on arrival by a Hi-Tours representative who will escort you to your coach.
08:30am: visit mesmerizing Taj Mahal - a UNESCO World heritage site by sunrise. Enjoy a romantic ride to the monument of the love on decorated Tongas ‘horse driven carriages’.
The 17th century Taj Mahal is often called a poem in stone. If so, the mausoleum is a love poem - created by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal. It took 22 years to be completed and was designed and planned by a Persian architect Ustad Isa. (Please note: Taj Mahal remains closed on Friday).
Enjoy a shopping experience in the Mughal city. Witness Marble Inlay work at a local workshop. Agra is known world over for its famous Marble Inlay work. The best example is Taj Mahal - greatest monument of love.
lunch will be at a specialty restaurant - Peshawari in hotel ITC Mughal.
drive to Samode - covering a distance of 240 kms in approx 5 hours 30 min.
Located about 40km north of Jaipur is the quaint village of Samode, nestled picturesquely amidst rugged hills dominated by its famous and beautiful Palace. The village in itself exudes a rare nostalgic charm and has many interesting places to explore and wander around.

Day 04 : Samode - Jaipur - Samode

buffet breakfast at the hotel.
leave for a whole day excursion to Jaipur - covering a distance of 40kms in approx 1 hour.
Jaipur, "The City of Victory", was first intended to be "Sawai Jaipur", named after the boy Prince who commissioned it - Maharaja Jai Singh II - a warrior, astronomer and politician who reigned over the Mughals from 1699 to 1743.
Begin your tour with a visit to magnificent Amber Fort. Accent the fort riding on jeeps.
It is known for its unique artistic style, blending both Hindu and Muslim (Mughal) elements, and its ornate and breathtaking architectural mastery.
lunch at heritage Samode Haveli.
Optional: An exhibition Elephant Polo Match at a beautiful country side location
drive to Dera amer (a beautiful country side location) to witness an exhibition match of Elephant Polo.
In the land of Maharajas, forts and palaces, the game of elephant polo was one of the ultimate royal experiences. Players are dressed in traditional turbans and are greeted at the sprawling lawns by a royal military brass band. As in yesteryears, the arrival of the guests is accompanied by the beating of huge drums and a tableau of horses and camels add to the welcome before the start of the game. The players will give a demonstration of the game following which the guests can participate. Each ‘chukkar’ (round) lasts for about 7-10 minutes. The event ends with a splendid buffet for lunch.
leave for an orientation tour of Jaipur. Stop for a photo at the Hawa Mahal or the "Palace of the Winds."
Visit the City Palace Museum, which has a priceless collection of antiques, costumes and armory of the Mughals and Rajputs including swords of different shapes and sizes with chiseled handles. Continue to Jantar Mantar Observatory - a UNESCO World heritage site. This stone astrological and astronomical Observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh in the 18th century.
Time permitting: enjoy a shopping tour in the Pink City. Only Mumbai or Delhi comes close to offering the array of goods found here, and foreign buyers for wholesale and retail outlets descend in droves to stock up on textiles, rugs, pottery, jewelry, shoes, miniature paintings, and ready-made clothing and house wares. Also witness carpet weaving/gems cutting demonstration at a local unit!
return to Samode.

Day 05 : Samode

early morning Yoga session for the whole group.
buffet breakfast at the hotel.
leave for a walking tour in the nearby villages. Walk through Samode’s alleys, hobnobbing on an easy pace, discover true rapture as your eyes begin to wander… a yonder lying fort slowly reveals intricacies in craftsmanship - ornate windows and frescoes… lower your eyes and there lies a grand assortment of colourful artifacts; people smile at you like old friends do, and somewhere in between you catch a glimpse of the boundless.. Discover artisans’ workshops where traditional crafts, textile printing and miniature painting, are still practice...Great photo opportunities!!!!!!!!!!
return to hotel. Rest of the afternoon will be at leisure for relaxation and independent activities.

4:00-5:00pm: enjoy a kite flying experience with local villagers amidst beautiful rural setting. It will be a great opportunity to meet the local villagers and observe there culture, life styles etc. You will be in competition with the local children who are experts in kite flying.
leave for farewell gala dinner.
Decorated canopied camel carts await your arrival. The group will distribute itself and mount camel carts. The camel caravan is escorted with torchbearers along with the procession which includes musicians to the dinner venue. The venue is transformed into a Royal camp with grounds lit up with candles, gas lanterns, mashals etc. Upon arrival, an alcoholic welcome drink is served. Guests relax with the drink. Bar-be-cue dinner is served under the stars around bon fires and marquees with musicians and dancers performing along side. After dinner, tea/coffee is served. The evening culminates with a fire work show against the stark naked mountain landscape and the skyline. A truly memorable evening!

Day 06 : Samode - Delhi

buffet breakfast at the hotel. Morning will be at leisure for relaxation and independent activities.
lunch will be at the hotel.
leave for Delhi - covering a distance of 250kms in approx 5 hours.
arrive in Delhi and transfer to an airport hotel - Uppals Orchid.
Optional: rooms for wash & change - 2 hours (4 guests per room)
dinner at the hotel.
Later in the night Hi-Tours representatives will escort you in time to International airport for your flight to onward destination.
