GOLDEN TRIANGLE WITH KERALA INCENTIVE PROGRAMME

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi

Arrive Delhi by International flight, arriving late night. On arrival, you will be met by us at the airport and garlanded with fresh flowers. Reception at the Airport with a “Welcome (Company’s name) Incentive ” banner.
Assistance at the airport and transfer to hotel. (Baggage will, in the meantime, be transferred by separate vehicle to the hotel )
As you step into the hotel, ladies in authentic local costumes will greet you with flowers and perform the “ aarti ” ceremony with a traditional lamp, while they anoint your forehead with the red “ tikka ” - which is a traditional form of welcome.
A Special Welcome Drink (a Fruit Cocktail) will be served while guests are distributed room keys in specially designed key pouches with the “ Company’s ” Logo. Guests will then be escorted to their rooms for immediate check-in.

Day 02 : Delhi

Breakfast at the garden. This will be an elaborate affair with garden umbrellas.
Late morning : You will be taken on a tour of New Delhi also known as Lutyen’s Delhi - visiting the Qutab Minar, a tower of victory built in the 12th century and India Gate the war memorial. Drive past the Rashtrapathi Bhawan, the residence of the President of India, the houses of Parliament and the Government Secretariat buildings.
Lunch at Chor Bizarre Restaurant . The restaurant has an interesting ambience with very special bizarre furniture and serves delectable Kashmiri and North Indian cuisine.
After lunch, you will be taken on cycle rickshaws through the little lanes of the Old City of Delhi, where time has virtually stood still for hundreds of years. This ride will be most fascinating as you get a first-hand view of the merchants, the little food and artifact stalls and the teeming population, busy in their daily activities.
The cycle Rickshaw ride will meander through to the Red Fort - Shah Jehan’s elegant citadel in red sandstone. The fort is entered from the Lahori Gate and leads into the halls of Private and Public Audience and then to the beautiful Pearl Mosque built by Shah Jahan’s son, Aurangazeb, the last of the “Great Mughals”. Very near the Fort is the Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque), India’s largest mosque, also built by Shah Jahan.
Return to the hotel by Coach.
Evening : As it is your first day in our country, we shall organize a Welcome Dinner based on Durbar Theme. Guests will arrive to be adorned with `pagris' (turbans) and `chunnis' (shawls) by traditionally dressed ladies and welcomed as they enter with a shower of rose petals and `attar' (perfume). Kathak dancers (classical North Indian) will entertain and a sumptuous Maharaja meal will be served by attendants dressed in the traditional manner of a Royal Durbar (court).

Day 03 : Delhi – Agra - Jaipur

Early morning, you will be transferred to the railway station to board train for Agra. (Baggage would be transferred by a separate vehicle to Jaipur and checked-in to the room before the groups arrival)
Arrive Agra and board the deluxe coaches awaiting you and drive to the hotel.
Arrive at the hotel to a Special Welcome with garlanding and musicians in attendance. A beautiful “ rangoli “ (a decorative welcome sign) in colored rice showing “Welcome (Compnay’s name) Incentive” will be made to enhance the welcome.
Agra- famous as the home to one of the Seven Wonders of the world - the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendour of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces in Agra is a vivid reminder of the opulence of the legendary Mughal Empire. Agra was their capital for nearly a hundred years from 1564. A pleasant town, with a comparatively easy pace, Agra is known for its superb inlay work on marble and soapstone by artisans who are hereditary craft persons. The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes.

Later, as guests come out of the hotel, a convoy of gaily decorated cycle rickshaws or “tongas” (horse carriages) will take them to the world famous Taj Mahal. This will be accompanied by trumpeters and drummers who will add to the joyous ambience and which will make an interesting experience as you meander through the little streets of Agra. The Taj Mahal - the inimitable poem in white marble, is the finest architectural achievement of the Mughals. Built over a period of 22 years, by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1630, for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains, it is one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World. (Note:- Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays)
Visit this magnificent spectacle and as you come out of the Taj Mahal, board the Deluxe Air conditioned Coach awaiting you and drive to Jaipur (236 kms), enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri (40 kms), the exquisite city built by Akbar the Great in 1569, in red sandstone., with its forts, palaces and mosques and later abandoned 14 years after its creation due to political reasons. Diwan-i-am - a vast courtyard in which the emperor gave daily public audience, Diwan-i-khas - a large quadrangle where all the major functions of the palace took place, Pachisi court, the emperor’s private living quarters, Jodha Bhai’s palace, Mariam’s palace, Birbal’s palace, Hawa Mahal and Panch Mahal are some of the important buildings of this residential complex. The Friday Mosque and the exquisite tomb of Sheik Salim Chisti are in the religious grounds set aside in a separate enclosure adjacent to the secular buildings.
Stop en route for lunch at the Midway Garden Restaurant. The elaborate meal will be provided under gaily decorated “Shamianas“ (canopies) with a local folk music entertainment. After lunch, continue drive for Jaipur.
Arrive in Jaipur to a "Maharaja Welcome". As was in the past, when the victorious Maharajas returned from war, a stunning tableau of decorated camels and elephants unfolds before you at the lawns of the palace. Ladies in Rajasthani costumes perform the traditional garlanding, “aarti” and ”tikka” ceremonies while the music of the “ shehnai ” welcomes you. Afterwards relax to the music while you sip a Welcome Drink. Guests will be provided their room keys in specially designed pouches. Evening : A sumptuous buffet Dinner will be provided by the poolside. The meal will be accompanied by live Classical music.

Evening : We will organize a Torchlight Dinner . The immaculately manicured lawns of hotel will be aglow with rows of the flaming Torchlight. Dainty fairy lights will twinkle in the flower bushes and trees and there in the perfect backdrop, is the magnificently floodlit hotel to make it look even more ethereal by night. It is a night to remember as folk dancers and musicians regale you in this enchanted environment. Traditional Rajasthani cuisine will be served.

Day 04 : Jaipur

Breakfast will be in the coffee shop.
Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan, is colour washed pink - the colour associated with hospitality in Rajput culture. This Pink City of fairy tale palaces, rugged fortresses perched on barren hills and broad avenues is picturesque. The first planned city of its time, Jaipur is encircled by a formidable wall.
Morning drive to the old city and stop at the Hawa Mahal, or the “Palace of the Winds”. This most important landmark of the city of Jaipur is an intricately carved facade and is located at the bustling centre of market activity. Proceed on the excursion to Amber, the capital of the erstwhile State of Jaipur until 1728. Perched on a hill, it has halls of Public and Private audience, a Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors) and various marble palaces which are marvelous examples of ancient Rajput architecture. Visit this fort and also the temple of Amba (the Mother Goddess), the patron deity of the Maharajas. Ride an elephant to ascend the hill on which the Fort is situated.
Lunch will be at the Raj Palace. The ancient palace, in the heart of the city of Jaipur, has a delightful courtyard which is elaborately decorated in traditional architecture. Traditional Dancers and Musicians will entertain while a sumptuous buffet spread will be laid-out for the meal. After the lunch, return to the hotel enroute visiting the City Palace - the former royal residence built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal styles and the Jantar Mantar - a stone astrological and astronomical Observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh in the 18th century.
Evening : Drive to Choki Dhani, a Rajasthani village set-up for a traditional Rajasthani evening. A very special Rajasthani evening will be organised with puppeteers and folk dancers to entertain. Thousands of lanterns will illuminate the venue and create an ethereal ambience.

Evening : Enjoy the Rajasthani Dinner - a very special evening to be organized at the lawns of the hotel with cocktails being served on arrival. The evening will begin with the guests being welcomed under floral archways when they arrive, with the fragrance of perfumes. Rajasthani Folk Dancers, Puppeteers and Musicians will entertain and an elaborate and delectable Bar-be-Que spread will be laid-out

Evening : We will organize the Indian Wedding Theme Dinner. As the name suggests, this will be an Indian night wedding dinner in which you all will be divided into two groups to participate as the "Baraat" (the bridegroom's family and friends who form the wedding party) and the bride's party. A traditional ceremony is arranged, as a couple from the group is chosen as bride and groom. This will be an evening when the guests will be given their own Indian clothes to grace the occasion (“kurta” sets with “turbans” for the gentlemen and “saris” or “Salwar Kameez with colored scarf” for the ladies).
The Palace is beautifully illuminated as the “barat” arrives with a local band, complete with "mashaals" (torches), decorated camels and horses – the groom on horseback, led by his escorts. On arrival, the hosts (the bride's party), will receive the “barat” while “welcome drinks” are served. The “groom” is then led to the marriage ceremony venue which is beautifully decorated with flowers & fairy lights. All other group members are then seated on the mattress and bolsters around the venue as the “wedding ceremony” is performed. A festive buffet meal is laid out for both the parties in the illuminated palace and is accompanied by Shahnai music (wind instrument) and folk dances. Also accompanying the ceremony is the traditional "mehendi" (henna) application for the ladies, which is considered auspicious at the time of an Indian wedding. The newlywed couple is then escorted to their Room, decorated with flowers, as is done in an Indian Wedding.

Day 05 : Jaipur – Mumbai - Cochin

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning, you will be transferred from to the airport to board your flight to Cochin via Mumbai. (Baggage would have been transferred by separate Baggage van and pre-check in would be done till Cochin - to save time at the airport)
Assistance on arrival at the Mumbai airport and board the flight for Cochin.
Cochin - the palm green commercial town of Kerala has one of the finest natural harbours in the world. A town with a historic past, Cochin is the gateway to Kerala.
You will be met on arrival at Cochin airport and Garlanded with fresh flowers.. A banner displaying “Welcome (Company’s name) Incentive ” will enhance the welcome. Assistance at the airport and transfer to the hotel. (Baggage will, in the meantime, be transferred by separate vehicle) On your arrival at the hotel, you will be accorded a special Kerala Welcome. As you walk through an archway of banana palms, they you will be garlanded by traditionally dressed girls, who will perform the ‘aarti’ ceremony.
After the welcome, the guests will be given a Welcome Coconut Drink (in its natural form), while the room keys are distributed in specially designed pouches. Guests will then be escorted to the rooms. Lunch at the hotel.
Afternoon you will be taken on a city tour visiting the Jewish Synagogue - built in 1568 AD, this houses the Grand Scrolls of the Old Testament and the copper plates containing the privileges granted to the Jews by the Cochin rulers. The floor of the synagogue is paved with exquisite Chinese hand painted tiles. Also visit the Dutch Palace was built by the Portuguese and presented to the Cochin Raja in 1555 AD. 17th century murals depicting scenes from the Indian epic, the Ramayana, can be seen here and St Francis Church, built originally by the Portuguese in 1510 AD is believed to be the first church built by Europeans in India. Vasco da Gama was first buried here. You will also get to see the Chinese fishing nets seen at the entrance of the harbour. This technique of catching fish was taught by the Chinese through trade contact. These nets along the back-waters are a fascinating sight.

Evening : A Special Moonlit Dinner will be arranged at the gardens overlooking the Backwaters. The ambience will be typically Kerala, with coconut and banana palms and an exotic “ Mohiniyattam” Dance performance, accompanied by traditional live Indian music. A wonderful setting that will be long remembered.
Overnight at Brunton Boatyard.

Day 06 : Cochin - Mararikulam

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning drive to the quaint fishing village of Mararikulam (45 kms) by Deluxe air-conditioned coaches.
On arrival at the Resort, guests will be accorded a traditional Garland Welcome with typical Kerala “ panchavadyam “ Music. A special banner with “Welcome (Company’s name) Incentive” will be displayed and after a Welcome Drink, the guests will be escorted to their Garden Villas. Lunch will be provided by the poolside.
Rest of the day at leisure to relax and enjoy the Resort’s facilities. An opportunity will be provided for the guests to take a swim in the glorious Sea and enjoy a medicinal “ Ayurvedic Massage “, the traditional massage treatment for which Kerala is famous.
Early Evening walk over to the temple grounds where a procession of Temple Elephants decorated in the traditional manner will receive the guests. These elephants will have their entire crowns and trunks decorated with golden plates and the “ mahuts “ (riders) will swing peacock-feather fans and hold beautiful decorated umbrellas. The traditional “ Panchavadyam “ music will provide the entertainment. Guests will be given an opportunity to ride these specially decorated elephants. Later, you will be given an opportunity to watch Dancers applying make-up for the traditional Dance form of Kerala – Kathakali. This is an interesting art form, where the dancers are heavily made-up as they dance in their inimitable lilting style. The special performance will be arranged at the beautiful Shiva Temple at the village, where all 5000 oil lamps will be lit to welcome the guests and to appease the Gods. The visit to the temple and the Dance will be followed by a typical Kerala Dinner, served in traditional style with coconut, eating off Banana leaves. The meal will be accompanied by traditional Classical music.

After the temple visit, return to the hotel for Dinner.

Day 07 : Mararikulam

Buffet Breakfast at leisure at the Resort.
Late Morning : Transfer by Deluxe Coach to the Jetty at Puthanengadi (15 kms), meandering through the typical village with its little shops, paddy (rice) fields and local country liquor (called “ Toddy “ ) shops.

Transfer to the Jetty at Puthanengadi (15 kms) in air-conditioned Ambassador cars (one couple to a car), traveling in a Convoy and driving through the typical village with its little shops, paddy (rice) fields and local country liquor (called “ Toddy “ ) shops. This car is a quaint but robust vehicle, very vintage in shape and look.
Arrive at the jetty and board a convoy of Rice Boats, (locally called “kettuvallams” )and cruise along the winding Backwaters of Kerala. This is a very special experience as guests will relax in the well-appointed boats and get an opportunity to see the way of life of the simple folk who live on the backwaters. The large expanses of rice fields, lying below sea-level form the area called “Kuttanad“, which is the Rice Bowl of the South. A special Sea-Food Lunch will be served on board the boats, while the guests relax and take-in the best of the Kerala sunshine.
Cruise throughout the afternoon on the houseboat. Disembark at Alleppey and return to the Resort. Dinner at the resort .

Evening : We shall organize a Special demonstration of “ Karalipaittu “. This is the traditional martial art form of Kerala, as old as time itself and said to be the pre-cursor of “Tai-Kwondo”, the Japanese martial art form.
This will be followed by a get-together for Sunset Cocktails, followed by a “ barefoot “ beach bar-be-que Dinner will be arranged this evening. The evening will be enlivened by a Dance party, where a Local Band will play popular local and western Music to entertain the guests while they dance the night away.

Day 08 : Mararikulam

Relaxed Breakfast at the Resort.
Day at leisure for independent activities. The day can be spent relaxing by the poolside or by the sea. You can also enjoy a medicinal “ Ayurvedic Massage “, the traditional massage treatment for which Kerala is famous.
Evening : As this is your last day in our country we, shall organize a Fishing Village Theme Farewell Dinner. A fishing village ambiance will be created, complete with fishing boats, Chinese fishing nets, fisher-folk and folk music. Get carried away in the happy bustle of a fishing village taken from “ The Venice of the East ”. A sumptuous Kerala Sea food will be, served under a starry night, with waiters dressed as fisher folks, will make the evening an unforgettable experience.
The meal will be accompanied by Live western music entertainment.
Overnight at Marari Beach Resort.

Day 09 : Mararikulam – Cochin - Mumbai

Brunch at the Poolside of the hotel. This will be an elaborate affair with garden umbrellas and sizzling bar-be-que.
(Baggage would be collected and transferred by separate vehicle to Cochin, where arrangements will be made for pre-check in on the flight to Mumbai)
Transfer to Cochin by Deluxe Air-conditioned Coach and proceed directly to the Nedumbacherry (Cochin) Airport (60 kms).
Arrive in Mumbai and transfer to the hotel , located near the airport for the dinner . Rooms for day use will be provided for Wash & Change ( 5 persons to a room).
(Baggage in the meanwhile would be pre-checked in and boarding passes obtained earlier to ensure minimum wait at the airport)
Dinner will be provided at the Restaurant.
Later transfer to international airport.

Day 10 : Depart Mumbai

Depart Mumbai for your onward destination.
