Day 01 : Airport Negombo

SCHEDULE

On arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport, you will be warmly greeted by our Representative along with English speaking guide with traditional orchid garlands and transferred to Negombo (approx. 30 min drive).
Arrival Transfer to the hotel will be by Air-conditioned luxury vehicle. In the coach mineral water will be provided.
A porter will assist you with the luggage at the airport.
On arrival at the hotel, you will be welcomed with garlands of flowers at the hotel by hostesses. Key in envelope with guest name will be handed over. Welcome drink on arrival at the hotel . There will be a private check in on arrival at the hotel

Day 02 : Negombo

Today, Enjoy Fishing Challenge in Negombo where you will enjoy tuk-tuk ride, boat ride, visit the local fishing village, interact with local fishermen and finally savour a delicious Sri Lankan BBQ seafood cuisine on the island with cooking demonstration for a unforgettable experience.

Programme details
08.00am - Pick up from your hotel in Negombo by tuk-tuk
08.30am - Visit Negombo fish market and you can buy your favorite fresh seafood which we could cook for your lunch in addition to the seafood we provide during the trip.
10.30am - Start boat tour in Negombo lagoon. Here you can engage with traditional and modern ways of fishing in lagoon. And this will cover main part of the Negombo lagoon. Enjoy stick fishing in lagoon. Refreshment will be provided during the boat trip.
12.30pm – Live cooking of your lunch in an Island in the lagoon which you too could participate. Rice and two grilled seafood items will be served. We could also cook if you have bought any fish during your visit to the fish market.
03.00pm - Catamaran ride with an experienced rider. Here you can ride a catamaran by your own, and this will cover the other part of the lagoon.
05.00pm – End of the lagoon trip and drop you to the hotel

Fun Tuk Tuk Rally
Fun Tuk Tuk Ride - “Tuk Tuk”(three wheeled) is unique vehicle in Asian Region and you will get chance to ride and experience fun of riding Tuk Tuk.
Tuk Tuk is a very typical vehicle in Asia - a classical form of public transport, part of the everyday street scene - is the three-wheeled, slightly rattly-looking vehicle, the TukTuk, dubbed so in honour of its typical crackling two-stroke engine noise. You can sit and stretch out, you're protected from the sun, with the flaps down protected from the rain, you get a great breeze as you zip along, with a good driver you feel safe (although there are inevitably a few mildly 'harrowing' moments regardless of how you get about) and the ride is comfortable enough. The maximum speed they can go - given the small engine and road conditions - is slow enough that you can take in the cool stuff as you drive along but fast enough to cover a surprising amount of ground in a day.
Each Team will get two boats and fishing rods for every participant. All participants leave the deep sea with professional boatman and with 3hrs they have to fish as much as possible and boatman basically do only ride the boat and given basic instructions about handle the rod. Teammates have to come up strategic plan and fishing techniques. Leaders should drive the team efficiently and effectively accomplish objectives.
After the Fishing, facilitator measures the weight and marks are awarded based on weight. After the fishing there is beach volleyball competition, it is challenge show team performance and talents.
This is an ideal day trip which one could experience the buzzing local fish market of Negombo where you could buy fresh fish for the lunch grill which we do in an Island during the trip, explore the mangroves by boat, do some fishing using rods and experience how local fisher folks carry out traditional fishing, Catamaran ride and picnic lunch in an Island with grilled seafood.
People can discover local customs, hospitality and traditional Sri Lankan fishing techniques. It is life experience programme.
Stick Fishing is unique fishing method to Sri Lanka and you cannot experience nowhere in the world. Sri Lankan fishermen, also known locally as stick fishermen, sit perched on stilts fixed into the ocean floor. If you are interested you can experience how the local fishermen fishing.

Day 03 : NEGOMBO - COLOMBO

Colombo city tour by WW2 Jeep

For those who are more adventurous and want to test their driving skills, can always do at either the Bird Park or on the street of Colombo. The fleet of classic jeeps is a rare sight on the streets of Colombo and its suburbs. It almost tends to draw a lot attention from both motorists and pedestrians due to its visual presence. In most cases, the passengers in the jeep get more attention than if they were riding in a Ferrari or Lamborghini.
Whilst on tour you will enjoy free bottled water, free soft drinks and juices, snack, beer. Guests are also provided with a video clip of their tour complements of Colombo by Jeep, which has been filmed with a Sony High Definition video Camera and still with a Nikon D 90 . Guests will receive a soft copy or they could opt to have it uploaded on one of the social media networks. On completion of the tour, you will be driven back to your hotel.

09.15 am – Arrive Colombo. Guests will be boarded on World War 2 jeep and proceed for the panoramic tour in Colombo
12.30 pm – drive towards Mount Lavinia for the seafood lunch
1.00 pm - Excellent seafood Lunch at Seafood Cove restaurant
2.00 pm – drive back to the hotel by A/C Coach (one hour drive)
After lunch, the group can either go to the hotel or proceed to Colombo for shopping.

COLOMBO – is the business and commercial center and the new capital is Sri JayawardhanapuraKotte, only a few miles away. Colombo was only a small seaport, which came into prominence in the 16th Century with the arrival of the Portuguese in 1505 and the development of it as a major Harbour took place during the British period. Colombo became the capital of Sri Lanka in 1815 after Kandyan Kingdom was ceded to the British. The remains of the buildings during the period of the Portuguese, Dutch and British rule are found in every area of the city. None of the Portuguese & Dutch fortifications are found today but some of their buildings and churches could be seen in the Fort & Pettah areas. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area where there is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, the Kayman’s Gate with the Belfry at the original gate to enter the Fort, the Dutch Church of Wolfendhaal dating back to 1749, Also visit the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall) & see the replica of Avukana Buddha in front and the Independence Memorial.

Farewell Gala Dinner – Fisherman’s Village Theme
In the evening you will be able to enjoy a Fishermen Village Theme with 2 hours cocktail and entertainment.
We would be creating a venue which would give the guest the feel of dinning in a historic Sir Lankan village. A separate venue would be created in a special outdoor location. The pathways and surrounding would be illuminated with fire torches. 2 hours cocktail includes foreign liquor with 03 non-veg canopies (Bacardi / Red label / Smirnoff / wine)

On arrival, guest will be given a Traditional drinks of Sri Lanka “King Coconut”. Guests will be presented local attire to be worn at the event.
The venues will be setup with the Fishing village theme with Typical fishing huts will be created at the venue. Further, fishing nets, props of boats, fishing equipment and lighting will create a typical Sri Lankan fishing Village atmosphere.
Dinner - A variety of fresh, cleaned uncooked seafood including prawns, cuttlefish and crabs will be displayed at these huts. The guests will have to walk around, select the seafood of their choice and get same cooked in their presence at an action station at the hut. Starters, soups, a variety of bread, butter and also a salad bar will also be included in the arrangements. A variety of desserts too will be available. Service will be by hotel staff dressed as fishermen.
Lighting with flaming torches and calypso music adds to the atmosphere.
The cultural show includes dances from different parts of the country which depict farming, hunting, exorcism, etc.

Day 05 : TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT

After breakfast you will be transferred back to airport (Approx. 30 min drive) for your flight back home.
Departure Transfer to the airport will be by Air-conditioned luxury vehicle
A porter will assist you with the luggage at the hotel on departure.
