WONDERS OF SIKKIM VALLEY

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi

Meeting and assistance on arrival at the airport, our representative welcome and escort you by a private car and transfer to the hotel, whilst the room keys and check-in is organized, our representative would hand over the documents and brief  the tour programme  to you. If you wish you can do the half day sightseeing of Delhi today. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 02 : Delhi

After breakfast take sightseeing tour of historic city visiting Old Delhi visiting the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame, Rajghat - memorial of Mahatma Gandhi & a Rickshaw ride past through the silver street in Chandani Chowk, the city tour continues covering New Delhi, visiting Rashtrapati Bhawan, one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the Birlas, one of India’s leading industrial families; Humayun’s Tomb, lotus shaped Bhai’s Temple , Qutub Minar , built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; in the evening you can visit to see speculative Light and Sound Show at Red Fort. Return to the hotel for overnight at the hotel.

Light and Sound Show: A spectacular sound and light show at the Red Fort. Which makes the 5,000 years old history of the city come alive. Amidst the tranquility of the splendidly panoramic and historic environs of the Red Fort, select episodes from the annals of Delhi's historic and legendary past are vividly brought to life. Special effects combine with the unique ambience to make this show a hauntingly unforgettable experience.

Day 03 : Delhi - Bagdogra (By Air) - Darjeeling (90 kms - 4 hours)

Morning after breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Bagdogra. Arrival and continuation by the road towards Darjeeling: queen of the mountains, through a landscape of wooded hills of tea plants. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of the day free or walk around the Mall Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 : Darjeeling

In the morning visit the highest spot in the area at 2590 m, Tiger Hill is near Ghoom, about 11km from Darjeeling. The hill is famous for its magnificent dawn views over Kanchenjunga and other eastern Himalayan peaks. On a clear day even Mount Everest is visible. Visit the Observatory hill & Tibetian refugee camp. Rest of the day at free. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 : Darjeeling – Pemayangtse (90 kms 4 hours)

Morning after breakfast checkout and drive to Pemayangtse - The mighty Kanchenjunga overlooks the land of Sikkim and Pemayangtse in Sikkim nestles close to Kanchenjunga. Pemayangtse is not a settlement. This is where 6000 ft above sea level one of the most famous Buddhist monasteries is located. The Pemayangtse monastery is the second oldest monastery in Sikkim and is the headquarters of the Nyingma sect. Overnight at the hotel.

Pemayangtse Monastery: Pemayangtse monastery at an altitude of about 7,000 ft is situated about 6kms from Gyalshing town. It is the most important monastery of the Nyingmapa order and first built as a small temple in the late seventeenth century by Latsun Chembo. The monastery houses numerous religious idols and other objects of worship, most of which are priceless because of their antiquity. On the top floor of the monastery there is a wooden sculpture portraying the Mahaguru's Heavenly Palace Sangthokpalri. The main festival of the monastery is on the 28th and the 29th day of the 12th month of the Tibetan calendar which normally corresponds to the month of February.

Day 06 : Pemayangtse - Gangtok (100 kms - 4 hours)

Morning after breakfast checkout the hotel and drive to Gangtok The state of Sikkim lies in the shadow of the mighty Kanchenjunga and its capital, Gangtok, is a picturesque mountain clinging town with monasteries, parks, pagoda style houses and colourful bazaars. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Later sightseeing of Gangtok covering Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Do Drul Choten, Flower Show, Cottage Industries, Ennchey Monastery, Later return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 06 : Gangtok

After breakfast take an excursion tour to Tsomgo Lake – 32 kms, situated at a height of 3,780 meters with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around and enjoy the Yak ride and Tibetans dish momo. Return back to Hotel. Overnight at Gangtok.

Day 07 : Gangtok

Later if time permits then take an excursion to Rumtek Monastery –24 kms, Rumtek is a famous monastery, all over the world, especially among the Tibetan Buddhists, and is situated near Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Originally called the Dharma Chakra Centre, it includes a beautiful shrine temple and a monastery for the monks. The 16th Karmapa built the monastery. The place got an existence in the Buddhist pilgrimage map, especially after Chinese habitation in Tibet and subsequent relocations of some Tibetan religious gurus to Sikkim. After visit drive back to Gangtok. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 : Gangtok - Kalimpong (55 kms - 2 hours)

Morning after breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Kalimpong - situated at an altitude of 1250 meters between the Deolo and Durbindra Hills, Kalimpong is an ideal place for a quiet holiday amidst gently rolling hills and deep valleys at the foot of the mighty Himalayas. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Afternoon visit Durpin Dara; Flower nurseries Gouripur House; Swiss Welfare Dairy & Tibetan Monastery. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 : Kalimpong - Bagdogra (65 kms - 2 hours) - Delhi (By Air)

Morning after breakfast in time transfer to Bagdogra airport to board the morning flight for Delhi. Assistance on arrival at Delhi airport transfer to hotel. Evening free to relax, overnight at the hotel.

Day 12 : Delhi – Hometown (By Air)

Morning after breakfast the day is free for leisure. Later in time transfer to the international airport to board the scheduled flight for home country. On departure tour concludes with happy memories
