Mughal Theme
The Mughal dynasty knew how to enjoy elegant dining in the spectacular settings of their forts and palaces. We bring to you the very experience of their lifestyle through the grandeur of this traditional Mughal theme evening in an equally memorable setting. The meticulous planning and preparation is reflected in the specially designed table setting, draped in richly embroidered fabric. The soft sounds of the water fountains, the subtle yet elegant lighting, the sultry melodies of live Indian classical music and the attentive service make a traditional Mughal dinner a truly unforgettable experience. The recommended entertainment for the evening would be a performance of Kathak dance. Kathak traces its origins to the nomadic bards of ancient India known as “Kathakaris” or storytellers. Along with the dance performance, a sumptuous dinner will be served at the venue.
You have the opportunity to adorn typical Indian attire and experience the lifestyle reminiscent of the Mughals, recreated through the grandeur of this traditional Mughal theme evening. It is reflected in the specially designed chowkis (low-seating tables), gaddas (luxurious mattresses) and plush bolsters and cushions all draped in richly embroidered fabric. The sultry melodies of live Indian classical music, sumptuous Mughlai cuisine, live Kathak dance performance (the royal dance of the Mughal Courts) makes a traditional Mughal dinner, a truly unforgettable experience.
The guests will receive traditional Indian Dress (for men & women) & Slippers (shoes) along with an Invitation to the event “Mughal Night”.
Although it is difficult to organize anything to top the Magnificence of the Taj Mahal, this evening the group will enjoy a Magical Mughal Night. This theme takes you back to the fabled world of the great Mughals. "Chobdars" (Gate keepers) usher guests to the "daawat-khanna" (venue of the function). Hostesses clad in silken, flowing "ghaghras" (skirts) and "chunnis" (veils) welcome the guests with flowers and "attar" (perfume) in the traditional style. The gardens will be beautifully decorated with flowers and lights. You are invited to recline on satin cushions, while you soak in the soft strains of live Indian classical music. Savour your favourite drink as the music changes to keep time with the Kathak dancers on the marble dance floor. Dinner is a mouth-watering simmering, sizzling assortment of barbecued meats, Mughlai style. An option can be provided for the guests to slip into Mughal costumes to get a real feel of this unforgettable evening.
