MOCK WEDDINGS IN INDIA
AGRA - They say, "Marriages are made in Heaven", but you can experience a typical Indian marriage in all its authenticity. The experience is complete with costumes for both the bride and the groom. In typical Indian tradition, the groom comes riding on a white horse followed by a colourful procession of people dancing and singing, depicting a typical Indian "baraat (marriage party)". The marriage is solemnized by a priest and the marriage is conducted on a floral stage or a"Vedi". The entire area is decorated with bright colourful lights and fragrant flowers with strains of the traditional "shehnai" in the background. And ofcourse, the ceremony ends with a feast fit for royalty.
KERALA - India is one of the oldest civilizations in the world. Therefore our traditions are deep rooted and age old and ‘Marriage’ is one such custom, which is celebrated with all rituals and traditions.
Kerala style mock wedding so that one can get married all over again-in grand Kerala way. The lady and the gentleman stand before the auspicious fire to tie the eternal knot amidst the priest's chanting of Sanskrit hymns. It is followed by a traditional Lunch served in Bannana leaf.

- Floral decoration of venue (Kalyana Mandapam), pandal (tent) decorated with flowers
- The ceremony guided by the Pujari (Hindu priest).
- Nagaswaram (Classical Instrumental Music)
- Thalappoli (Procession of women dressed in Kerala Saris with lighted lamps).
- The Wedding Garlands (Jasmine) for the couple.
- Maniyara Orukkal (Floral decoration of the couple’s bedroom –Nuptial Chamber).
- Champagne (Indian) and Cake
The Procedure:
The bride and the groom are first welcomed from the room to the brightly decorated canoe by processions of women dressed in Kerala sarees with lighted lamps accompanied with Nagaswaram (a long horn like classical instrument) and decorated baby Elephant and taken to the Mandapam. At the Venue, the ceremony happens in the presence and guidance of the Pujari. The groom is escorted to the canopied stage (mandapam) by girls holding auspicious symbols such as a sacred oil lamp, the 'ashtamangalya', a plate holding mirror, bell, vermilion box, and a 'kindi' or water container with a spout. This mandapam is decorated with flower garlands, palm fronds and small plantain trees. The bride then arrives in a splendid silk saree and at the ascertained hour (muhurtham) the groom ties the taali or the sacred thread around her neck. This is a yellow thread with a golden pendent signifying the marital status of a woman. Then garlands are then exchanged by the bride and groom and the Thali (nuptial chain) tied. This signifies their sacred union as husband and wife.
RAJASTHAN - Mock Indian Style royal weddings can be arranged for an unforgettable experience. Customary attire and traditions are followed to create a royal wedding ambiance. A lavish feast follows the celebrations with folk dances and puppet shows to entertain the guests.
The wedding party of the bridegroom arrive with a stunning tableau of elaborately caparisoned regalia of Elephants, camels, lines of soldiers mounted on horses, A band of musicians, men holding oil torches, with an environment of pomp and color the guests lead to the entrance of the palace. Here girls dressed in Rajasthani costumes sprinkle rose water and shower raised petals on the guests. The waiting bride’s family receives the guests & traditional welcome is held. The bridegroom dressed in his Rajasthani wedding attire carrying a sword arrives along with wedding party on the Elephant he is accorded a special welcome the moment he enters the palace. The bride arrives from the front steps of the Palace carrying a garland with girls accompanying her.
The Bride and the Bridegroom then change garlands with showering fireworks. The wedding ceremony is performed under a pavilion. (We call it Mandap for Pheras) After the Pheras there will be cake-cutting ceremony with Champagne toast and Fireworks After that they shall proceed for Dances and Dinner. The dinner is preceded with a folk dance program during which the best of artists who have performed internationally display their art and skills. The guests are served snacks during the folk entertainment program. After the entertainment guests are served with a lavish buffet Dinner. The guests are served Tea and coffee with Puppet show and finally a royal see off is accorded
